Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao. The People’s Champ. He’s one of the most successful and richest Pinoys out there. He has been know to knock out his in-ring foes with his monstrous left-hand punches. Not to mention that he is still down to earth, kind-hearted and God-fearing. Through that, he has been a great influence to all Filipinos from all walks of life. He has achieved so much in so little time.
But don’t you think he is achieving too much? I do.
He’s has an album.
It’s obvious that he’s Filipino. He likes to sing. I just don’t think he needs to go as far as making his own album. I’m not saying that he has no talent. He does. Just not the kind that should go through a professional recording process. *cough* *Anne Curtis* *cough*
He is a politician.
This has been a long time trend. Pinoy celebrity gets into politics. Some become successful, some become horribly corrupt. So far, Congressman Pacman has been one of the good guys. Hope he could do more to change the country for the better.
He had his own game show.
Knowing what it was like to be part of the pinoy population suffering from poverty he wanted to give back and give our less fortunate Filipino brothers/sister. His bright idea: Manny Many Prizes. Pinoys loved it!
A basketball coach? Really?
If you’re a Filipino, Basketball is, by default, your favorite sport. You know the sport, the rules, you have your favorite teams. But Manny, can’t you stick to one sport? This is so confusing! Do you even know how to coach?
It’s not that I like it when Manny does stuff but I can’t keep up. Yes, I am secretly a fun. Now, I’m not.
I got to hand it to him, though. He’s doing everything he wants while he still can, helping family, friends and countrymen in the process. Man, he’s living the dream. You go, Pacman!
