The Kickflip
My (amateur) take on photography.
When I woke up I realized something… I want a good girl.
This is P.O.D.’s Bad Boy
“I need a girl who’s down to ride
I need a Bonnie and I can be you Clyde”
Somehow, I find this song very inspiring. It’s gonna be my new soundtrack. Hehe!
This is P.O.D.’s Higher
“…it’ll all make sense when I get there”
This is my new favorite band and this is my favorite song from their new album.
This is Twenty One Pilots’ Migraine
More than 5 years ago I got into a relationship this girl. She was great. But to make a long story short, things end last February. See, short.
If I would assess myself, I handled the break-up pretty well. Today, I can confidently say that most part of me has gotten over her. There are some things that I miss, though. I miss the experience of being in a relationship in general.
I miss text messages
During the early to middle part of a modern day Filipino relationship (or courtship. Yes, some of us still believe and practice courtship), this is just a regular thing. When I say regular, I mean texting each other for almost a whole day. It just shows how concerned you are about your better half. I miss the feeling of someone caring for me from a distance (other than my parents). Shallow texts like, “Have you eaten yet?” or, “Will I see you later?” Even the simplest, “I miss you!” gets me! Now, my phone is just an MP3 player, Social Networking Machine, Camera & HIIT timer. It doesn’t fall on the category of a phone anymore.
I miss surprises
I’m a sucker for surprises. I bet you are too. But if I write what I like being surprised about it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore now, would it? Of course I would be talking about the good kind of surprises. Surprises like small random gifts, a P10 cup of ice cream, a song, a kiss, a hug, a compliment, you know, cheesy stuff like that.
I miss date nights
Sure, I could go out and watch a movie, eat, window-shop, and stroll around the mall alone. I’ve done that so many times before. But there’s nothing like sharing a weekly special scheduled night out with a significant other.
I have a few things more that I miss but that about sums it all up.
Okay. Enough of that! Time to play some more Deftones and Skrillex.
A perfect cross-over between Dubstep & Reggae! Here’s something to blow my midnight soundtrip off the roof!

I’ve been waiting for a summer getaway since the summer season began. Now that I ran out of time and the board exam refresher reviews are coming up, I’ve lost all hope. But looking a few weeks back I did have something like a summer getaway. It didn’t seem like a getaway at first because it was for a shoot of a friend of ours studying in Cebu & it was only in San Fernando, Pampanga. It was the closest thing to what I had in mind.
The bonus is that I got to work as a “sound guy” for a thesis film, I got to meet, bond, have fun with these really awesome people and almost all of it was for free. Win-win situation for everyone!
I didn’t get to take pictures on set but I have these. (Thanks to the lovely Therese a.k.a. “Sofie” for the pictures)
Taking a trip down memory lane with my playlist. This was on it. :)
This is Third Eye Blind’s Deep Inside Of You
This song just made my week.
This is City and Colour’s Thirst
Since it’s already so hot, let me make things a little steamier… If you know what I mean.
This is Franco’s Lover’s Fire
Here’s a little fitness advice from Mike Chang that might help people who want to START getting into shape.
This made my day so much brighter! Thank you for the great music, Franco!
This is Franco’s Better Days
Hey guys, if she listens say I’m missing everything about her. Thanks!
This is The Script’s If You See Kay

I had this dream last night. I was in an “octagon” and was about to fight this (familiar) Mixed Martial Arts Fighter. I didn’t know who it was but I’m sure I’ve watched him in a UFC fight before. I felt this very unusual adrenaline rush that I’ve never experienced before. It felt good. I felt strong. But sad to say, in the dream was beaten to a bloody pulp, had cuts on both eye brows and a had a broken nose. In the picture, I would be that guy being pounded in the face by Georges St-Peirre.
When I woke up I had this crazy idea of doing MMA. I wanted to leave everything behind and fight! I’m not sure if it would be the same in real life but I loved the adrenaline rush. The feeling that you have to defend yourself and beat the living hell out of the guy right in front of you.
But of course I didn’t leave to find an MMA gym, come up to a trainer and tell him, “Hey! I wanna fight! Teach me how to take down one of these motherfuckers!” I didn’t have enough money for that. I only had enough money for a movie and popcorn.
Though I would not really take MMA seriously but I would consider it as an active hobby in the future. All I have to do now is pass the board exam get rich and get a good trainer so I could kick so much ass!
Note:
I might be still feeling the adrenaline rush so please excuse the language. It’s gonna be a lot different tomorrow.
Remembering the 90’s and how cool it was.
